The National Collegiate Athletic Association is a long-time member of TEAM Coalition. The two organizations have worked together to encourage thousands of fans at the years’ biggest college athletics events to be designated drivers for their groups.
TEAM and the NCAA have also worked to bring alcohol management training programs to more schools as the number of collegiate venues serving alcohol grows.
TEAM and NCAA reward fans at the FCS Championship, Men’s Final Four, Women’s Final Four, Lacrosse Championship, Women’s College World Series and Men’s College World series. TEAM also attends the APPLE Training Institute and U in the Driver Seats Symposium to speak to college students about responsible alcohol consumption.
The NCAA and TEAM also partner up for the annual TEAMUp2Win! Sweepstakes, where NCAA basketball fans over the age of 21 may join in the effort to prevent drunk driving and are entered in for a chance to win a trip for two to the Men’s or Women’s Final Four. Now, Responsibility Really Does Have Its Rewards when you, your friends, family, co-workers, fraternity brothers, sorority sisters, teammates, alumni organization members or any members of social groups makes the commitment to prevent drunk driving.
Every year, TEAM Coalition recognizes the teams, concessionaires, and other game day staffing companies who have shown an outstanding effort in making sure their employees are certified in effective alcohol management. Award winners in the NCAA are listed in the table below, along with the events TEAM attends:
