Privacy

Your privacy is critically important to us. TEAM Coalition has a few fundamental principles:

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services.
  • On our website, we aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control what’s visible to the public, seen by search engines, kept private, and permanently deleted.

TEAM Coalition (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management is a 501(c)(3) non-profit coalition) operates several websites including https://teamcoalition.org, http://www.rhir.org, https://fansdontletfansdrivedrunk.org, https://teamup2win.org. TEAM Coalition also operates several social media web pages on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.

It is TEAM Coalition’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, TEAM Coalition collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. TEAM Coalition’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how TEAM Coalition’s visitors use its website. From time to time, TEAM Coalition may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
TEAM Coalition also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on WordPress.com blogs. TEAM Coalition only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

Social Media Visitors

TEAM Coalition uses social media to better promote and educate fans and the general population about our efforts to raise alcohol awareness at live performances and sporting venues.  Your participation in these outlets is greatly appreciated and respected.  Any information that we obtain is solely for the use of the improvement of TEAM Coalition programs and products.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to TEAM Coalition’s websites choose to interact with TEAM Coalition in ways that require TEAM Coalition to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that TEAM Coalition gathers depends on the nature of the interaction.  In each case, TEAM Coalition collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with TEAM Coalition. TEAM Coalition does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management (TEAM) Coalition collects and stores personal information for individuals who participate in the TEAM Training Program as well as individuals who register to be designated drivers and responsible guests at sports and entertainment venues as well as through online registrations for sweepstakes.

From a training perspective, collection of this data is a necessary prerequisite to provide training services. Personal information of those individuals involved in the TEAM Training Program is used for two primary purposes:

  • To provide records of training given and certification status
  • To alert trainers regarding updated training-related information

All personal information is securely stored on TEAM Coalition’s servers that are only accessible via login and password by registered trainers. Access to personal information other than that of each trainer is limited to the individuals taught by that trainer. No trainer can access personal information of individuals he/she did not directly train.

Personal information collected from designated driver and responsible guest registrations at sports and entertainment venues as well as through online sweepstakes registrations is only used to select a winner of a sweepstakes. All TEAM Coalition sweepstakes are designed to recognize guests who promise to serve as a designated driver for their friends and family or who promise to never drive drunk and always have a designated driver. Personal information is only stored – securely on TEAM Coalition’s internal network – for the winners of sweepstakes. All sweepstakes rules specific the potential use of sweepstakes winners’ names and/or likenesses for promotional purposes only. Records of individuals not selected as sweepstakes winners are destroyed or deleted.

TEAM Coalition does not provide personal information to third parties, period.

Aggregated Statistics

TEAM Coalition may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, TEAM Coalition may monitor the most popular articles or use spam screened by the third party services to help identify spam. TEAM Coalition may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, TEAM Coalition does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

TEAM Coalition discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on TEAM Coalition’s behalf or to provide services available at TEAM Coalition’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using TEAM Coalition’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. TEAM Coalition will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, TEAM Coalition discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when TEAM Coalition believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of TEAM Coalition, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of an TEAM Coalition website and have supplied your email address, TEAM Coalition may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with TEAM Coalition and our products. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. TEAM Coalition takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
