National Beer Wholesalers Association and TEAM Coalition

NBWA joined TEAM Coalition in 2009. The two organizations have worked together to bring TEAM’s alcohol management training and fan education programs to beer distributors across the United States. These distributors have been crucial in promoting responsibility in their respective communities.

TEAM Coalition was featured in the following video produced at the 2015 NBWA Convention in Las Vegas.

    Responsible NASCAR Fans Rewarded at the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

    • July 16, 2012 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
    • Miller Lite, Amoskeag Beverages and Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management (TEAM) Coalition partnered to promote responsible drinking and traffic safety
    • 357 fans made the pledge to be a designated driver for their group. All of them had the opportunity to receive a free souvenir photo, instant prizes and a chance to be selected as the Designated Driver of the Race.
    • “We are very proud of the great beers we sell for all of the NASCAR fans to consume,” said Ed Murphy, General Manager and Vice President of Sales, Amoskeag Beverages LLC. “However, along with that comes great responsibility. We thank all of you for choosing a designated driver and look forward to seeing you all at the track again in September.”

    Texas Rangers recognized as winners of the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge with Kansas City Royals

    • March 3, 2013 in Arlington, TX
    • The Texas Rangers, DNC Sportservice and Ben E. Keith have been working together successfully for the Budweiser Good Sport designated driver program, finishing the 2012 MLB season with the 11th most designated drivers in the league.
    • The Rangers edged out the Royals with 16,220 designated drivers as compared to 15,833.

    Responsibility Has Its Rewards: Texas Rangers host rivalry game versus Kansas City Royals

    • May 31-June 2, 2013 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, TX
    • Texas Rangers, Budweiser, Ben E. Keith and TEAM Coalition partnered to promote responsible drinking and traffic safety at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, encouraging fans to become designated drivers.
    • 747 fans also helped the Texas Rangers earn points in the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge against the Kansas City Royals

    Responsibility Has Its Rewards: FC Dallas hosts rivalry match versus Sporting KC

    • June 22, 2013 at FC Dallas Stadium in Dallas, TX
    • FC Dallas, Budweiser, Ben E. Keith and TEAM Coalition rewarded fans who pledged to be designated drivers

    62 fans made the pledge and helped FC Dallas earn points in the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge against the Houston Dynamo and Sporting KC by pledging to be Good Sports – the designated driver for their group.

    Washington Redskins recognized as winners of Designated Driver Challenge with New York Giants

    • April 19,2013 in Washington, D.C.
    • Representatives from the Redskins, Anheuser-Busch, Bob Hall, Inc., Centerplate, CSC and TEAM Coalition gathered for the celebration; the partners have been working together successfully for many years to promote the designated driver program

    The Redskins finished in the Top Five for the NFL in 2012

    D.C. United recognized as winner of the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge with the Philadelphia Union

    • March 19, 2013 in Washington, D.C.
    • C. United outscored the Philadelphia Union 4,926 points to 2,025 points to win the challenge

    D.C. United, RFK Stadium, Capital Eagle, Inc, Budweiser and Centerplate have been working together successfully to offer fans the Budweiser Good Sport designated driver program for many seasons. In 2012 the partnership increased designated driver totals by more than 400 fans relative to the prior season. Overall, D.C. United finished the season in fifth place in comparison to the rest of MLS.

    • With a total of 79,769 points, The Chiefs outscored the Raiders by 59,141 points, the Broncos by 22,154 points, and the Chargers by 14,847 points in the combination of in-stadium designated driver pledges and Facebook “likes.”

    The Chiefs, Arrowhead Stadium, County Beverage Company, Inc., Bud Light, Contemporary Services Corporation and ARAMARK have been working together successfully to offer fans the Bud Light Good Sport designated driver program for many seasons. In 2012 the partnership earned a greater than 35% increase in fan participation relative to the prior season.

    Arizona Cardinals recognized as winners of the Bud Light Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge with the Seattle Seahawks

    • February 26, 2013 and February 14, 2013 in Phoenix, AZ
    • For the second consecutive year, the Arizona Cardinals were recognized at a luncheon for winning the Bud Light Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge with the St. Louis Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. The Cardinals outscored the Rams and Seahawks in both in-stadium designated driver pledges and Facebook “likes.”
    • The Cardinals, University of Phoenix Stadium, Rojo Hospitality, Hensley Beverage Company, Coca-Cola, Bud Light, the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and MADD have been working together successfully for the Bud Light Good Sport designated driver program

    The Cardinals finished the 2012 NFL season with a total of 9,878 designated drivers – the 12th most in the league.

    Responsibility Has Its Rewards promotion at 2013 Copa Univision

    • March 22-23, 2013 at Futbol 5 stadium in Tampa, FL

    Coors Light, J.J. Taylor and TEAM Coalition invited soccer fans at Copa Univision to make the Responsibility Has Its Rewards pledge. Those who promised to never drive drunk and always have a designated driver added their name to the backdrop and received a souvenir photo.

    Sporting Kansas City recognized as winners of the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge with FC Dallas

    • February 2, 2013 in Kansas City, MO
    • Sporting Kansas City, Sporting Park, Schatz Distributing Company, Inc, Budweiser and DNC Sportservice have been working together successfully to offer fans the Budweiser Good Sport designated driver program for many seasons. In 2012 the partnership more than quadrupled fan participation relative to the prior season.

    Sporting KC outscored FC Dallas 2,493 points to 1,563 points.

    Houston Texans recognized as winner of the Bud Light Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge with the Tennessee Titans

    • February 2, 2013 in Houston, TX
    • The Texans, Reliant Stadium, Silver Eagle Distributors, Bud Light, Contemporary Services Corporation and ARAMARK have been working together successfully to offer fans the Bud Light Good Sport designated driver program for many seasons.

    The Texans outscored the Titans 68,738 points to 49,656 points in the combination of in-stadium designated driver pledges and Facebook “likes.”

    Responsibility Has Its Rewards national campaign for the 2013 NBA All Star Game and Jam Session

    • February 12-17, 2013 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX.
    • 4,781 Fans made the Responsibility Has Its Rewards Pledge at the Toyota Center, Budweiser Discovery Green, and the NBA Jam Session at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Fans who pledged autographed a larger-than-life basketball and received a souvenir photo with a branded frame including the campaign partners’ logos and the campaign’s responsibility message.

     

    Responsibility Has Its Rewards: Houston Dynamo host rivalry match versus FC Dallas

    • Sunday May 12,2013 at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, TX
    • The Houston Dynamo, Budweiser, Silver Eagle Distributors and TEAM Coalition partnered to promote responsible drinking and traffic safety at BBVA Compass Stadium, encouraging fans to become designated drivers.
    • Fans who pledged helped the Houston Dynamo earn points in the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge against Sporting KC and FC Dallas. The winner will be the club with the most fans pledging to be designated drivers at the end of the season.
    • Responsible fans autographed a larger-than-life soccer ball and received a free souvenir photo.

    Responsibility Has Its Rewards promotion at Houston Astros Responsibility Day

    • May 21, 2013 at Minute Maid Park in Houston, TX
    • The Houston Astros, Anheuser-Busch, Silver Eagle Distributors, ARAMARK and TEAM Coalition partnered to educate fans about the importance of using a designated driver, buckling up and demonstrating positive fan behavior.

    The 300 fans who made the pledge to be responsible had the opportunity to autograph a backdrop and smile for a souvenir photo. The backdrop will be displayed at Minute Maid Park throughout the remainder of the 2013 season.

    Cleveland Browns recognized as winners of the Bud Light Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge with the Cincinnati Bengals

    • March 15, 2013 and May 23, 2013 in Cleveland, OH
    • Representatives from the Browns, DNC Sportservice, The House of LaRose Distributing, MADD and TEAM Coalition gathered for the celebration.

    The Browns won the challenge for the second year in a row in 2012

    Indianapolis Colts recognized as winners of Bud Light Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge with Jacksonville Jaguars

    • March 11, 2013 and May 24, 2012 in Indianapolis, IN
    • The Colts outscored the Jaguars for the second consecutive year with 3,462 designated drivers as compared to the Jaguars 2,297
    • The Colts, Lucas Oil Stadium, Centerplate, Zink Distributing and Bud Light have been working together successfully for the Bud Light Good Sport designated driver program, finishing the 2012 NFL season with a total of 4,098 designated drivers.
