Serving on TEAM Coalition’s Board of Directors

Ashley chose to serve on TEAM Coalition’s Board of Directors in 2020 as the Marketing and Communications Chair. During her time at Anheuser-Busch, Ashley has held roles in both Marketing and Corporate Affairs and has had the opportunity to bring new product innovations to market and lead impactful campaign launches. Ashley shared, “I became interested in serving on the Board of Directors for TEAM Coalition after participating on the Strategic Planning Committee this summer. It was an eye-opening experience to take a step back and really assess the value that TEAM creates as an organization and to think strategically about how we can ensure that TEAM continues to evolve and succeed into the future!”

Ashley’s Memorable Moment with TEAM

For our 2020 Global Beer Responsible Day at Anheuser-Busch we chose to highlight our long-standing partnership with TEAM Coalition through a highlights reel looking back at the past decade. Working with Jill and the team to pull together all of the metrics and past activations really shed a light on all of the great work that’s been done over the years, across the world of sports. 2020 really forced us to think more innovatively about how to effectively reach fans beyond the stands to promote responsible drinking behaviors

TEAM Coalition is an alliance of professional and collegiate sports, entertainment facilities, concessionaires, stadium service providers, the beer industry, distillers, broadcasters, traffic safety experts and others working together to promote responsible drinking and positive fan behavior at sports and entertainment facilities. TEAM Coalition members and supporters include Anheuser-Busch Companies, Live Nation, Major League Soccer, NASCAR, National Basketball Association, National Football League, National Hockey League, National Collegiate Athletic Association, Aramark, Delaware North Sportservice, Legends, Spectra, Beer Institute, National Beer Wholesalers Association, Constellation Brands, Molson Coors, Brown-Forman, Lyft, National Association of Broadcasters, International Association of Venue Managers, Stadium Managers Association and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. US DOT / NHTSA 2019 NATIONAL DATA:

  • In 2019, 10,142 people were killed as a result of alcohol-related (BAC > 0.08) car crashes, a decrease of 5.3% from the 10,710 fatalities in 2018.
  • Many, if not most of those lives would have been saved if people did not drive when they were impaired by alcohol or if they used sober, designated drivers or if they simply wore their seat belts.
  • Statistics and research clearly show that 21-34 year old males are the demographic most likely to be involved in an automobile crash, drive when impaired by alcohol and fail to buckle up.
