Matt’s Mission Moment with TEAM

Matt Dye has more than 15 years of professional experience working in the convention and arena industry. As District General Manager, he and his team are constantly achieving new levels of excellence in both guest experience and client relations through their commitment to quality of service and innovation.

A mission moment for Matt is that every event can have a totally different atmosphere. Whether it’s a convention, sporting event, concert, gala or private dinner, each of our employees has a consistent goal of promoting responsible and positive behavior, and that is a personal commitment of mine as well.

Serving on TEAM Coalition’s Board of Directors

Matt was elected Membership Committee Chair for TEAM Coalition in 2020. Matt shared that “I chose to be on the Board because I knew it was a great group of industry leaders and I was excited about the prospect of getting to know each other and future opportunities for collaboration.

US DOT / NHTSA 2019 NATIONAL DATA:

  • In 2019, 10,142 people were killed as a result of alcohol-related (BAC > 0.08) car crashes, a decrease of 5.3% from the 10,710 fatalities in 2018.
  • Many, if not most of those lives would have been saved if people did not drive when they were impaired by alcohol or if they used sober, designated drivers or if they simply wore their seat belts.
  • Statistics and research clearly show that 21-34 year old males are the demographic most likely to be involved in an automobile crash, drive when impaired by alcohol and fail to buckle up.
