RACHEL’S MISSION MOMENT WITH TEAM COALITION

TEAM training takes a comprehensive approach to preparing facility operations managers to train alcohol servers and event-day employees to manage the sale, service and consumption of alcohol at public gatherings. Rachel shared that one of her favorite TEAM Training moments was teaching new hires in Tampa, FL alcohol management techniques to work at the Super Bowl LV After Party.

TEAM has helped me instill confidence in my staff to ensure proper safety protocols are met with alcohol consumption! In our day to day, I have faith in my staff to ensure a good and responsible time is had by all. Rachel Lewis Director of Operations for Aramark at The Florida Aquarium

The success of TEAM’s alcohol management training program rests squarely on the shoulders of facility leaders like Rachel Lewis who have embraced the idea that everyone has a role and a responsibility when it comes to preventing negative fan behavior and drunk driving. Teamwork is what a successful alcohol management is all about. Rachel’s efforts demonstrate that when everyone – including guest services, security, ushers, gate attendants, elevator operators, alcohol servers, suite attendants and the fans – takes responsibility, everyone wins.Jill Kiefer Executive Director TEAM Coalition

US DOT / NHTSA 2019 NATIONAL DATA:

 • In 2019, 10,142 people were killed as a result of alcohol-related (BAC > 0.08) car crashes, a decrease of 5.3% from the 10,710 fatalities in 2018.
 • Many, if not most of those lives would have been saved if people did not drive when they were impaired by alcohol or if they used sober, designated drivers or if they simply wore their seat belts.
 • Statistics and research clearly show that 21-34 year old males are the demographic most likely to be involved in an automobile crash, drive when impaired by alcohol and fail to buckle up.
