“TEAM provides a cross-functional platform for training and managing responsible alcohol service at live events. This collaborative approach creates a more integrated process for a safer, superior, and streamlined fan experience.”

Serving on TEAM Coalition’s Board of Directors
Rishi chose to serve on TEAM Coalition’s Board of Directors in 2016. He first served two years as Training Committee Chair. In 2018 he became a Director at Large for the organization. Rishi explained, “I chose to join the Board because I want to share the perspectives and strategies of an operator who has significant experience outside the norms of a traditional event environment. When my career led me to auto racing and music festivals, we had the longest hours, largest crowds, and more points of sales than any other regularly occurring live events in the country. It was paramount that we grow the TEAM program to fulfill the training needs of our employees and create policies reflective of our fans’ needs.”

Rishi’s Memorable Moment with TEAM
Members of TEAM speak a common language and have a shared passion for delivering an enjoyable environment for all fans. I have worked for multiple companies in the sports and entertainment industry – both, on the concessions services side and representing venue ownership. TEAM brings consistency to how we create a cohesive policy that allows various departments of a venue to hand off the fan as they move around the premises from arriving to consuming alcohol to safely getting home.
US DOT / NHTSA 2018 NATIONAL DATA:
- In 2018, 10,511 people were killed as a result of alcohol-related (BAC > 0.08) car crashes, a decrease of 3.6% from the 10,908 fatalities in 2017.
- Many, if not most of those lives would have been saved if people did not drive when they were impaired by alcohol or if they used sober, designated drivers or if they simply wore their seat belts.
- Statistics and research clearly show that 21-34 year old males are the demographic most likely to be involved in an automobile crash, drive when impaired by alcohol, and fail to buckle up.
