Virtual Instructor Development Program

In response to COVID-19, TEAM Coalition is offering a limited series of web-based Instructor Development Program (IDP) Workshops through Zoom.

How do the Virtual IDPs differ from regular TEAM IDPs?

Starting in Spring 2020, regular Virtual IDPs will be offered for those looking to get TEAM certified for the first time and those who need to re-certify at an IDP.



All Virtual IDPs will review TEAM Training content including all vignettes, provide teaching tips, require participants to teach back a section of material and end with a certification exam. And all Virtual IDPs will be limited to a maximum of 10 participants each.

What do I need to do to become a certified TEAM trainer through a Virtual IDP?

  • Register to attend an upcoming Virtual IDP
  • Download Zoom to your computer. Go to and sign up. We need to be able to see and hear you during the entire workshop.
  • Ensure that you have reliable WiFi
  • Have your TEAM Training materials on training day.
    • If you are re-certifying, we will email you a new set of Trainer Binder pages.
    • If you are certifying for the first time, we will send you a new Trainer Binder.
  • Attend the workshop

Who are the trainers?

The training is taught by TEAM Coalition’s Master Trainers, made up of peers within the industry. They know the challenges you face at your facilities and have innovative solutions to share.

What are the associated costs?

You will receive an invoice from TEAM Coalition at the point of registration. Due to the limited space in these workshops, no cancellations or refunds will be granted.

How can I register?

Each Virtual IDP Workshop will have a limit of 10 individuals per session. You will receive a confirmation email with more information after registering.
