Hello TEAM Trainers!

The Training Committee has been meeting regularly, and we wanted to share a brief update on our activities.

Fiscal Year to Date Training Results

• TEAM fiscal year runs from October through September. Our goal each year is to certify 40,000 employees.
• As of July 13, 2026, a total of 25,730 employees at 135 venues across North America have become TEAM-certified.
• Nearly 22,000 employees became certified in TEAM Level 2, designed for alcohol servers.
• 17,700 employees became certified using online training

Newest Master Trainer – Jessie Brady

We are thrilled to welcome Jessie Brady to the group of TEAM Master Trainers. Jessie Brady is the Manager of Guest Experience and Operations for the Las Vegas Raiders. Jessie joined the Raiders organization in 2019 during the move to Las Vegas. Jessie earned her Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and her Masters in Sports Management from the University of South Dakota. Jessie became a TEAM trainer in 2023 and a TEAM Master trainer in 2026. She has certified more than 200 employees.

Trainer Certification

The TEAM training committee determined that all TEAM training customers MUST have an active TEAM trainer on location or in the region, regardless of how your employees are certified – including only certifying your employees with online certification.

However, the committee also voted to approve separate recertification criteria for trainers who certify their employees exclusively through online training.

After attending a TEAM Instructor Development Program (IDP) workshop, trainers who only certify their employees through online training, must follow the criteria below to maintain their certification:

• Certification must be renewed annually, the cost is $75.
• Complete the online employee level training for your organization.
• Score 80% or better on a new version of the trainer recertification exam (answer at least 32 out of 40 questions correctly, no questions about how to train employees).
• Provide edits to online employee training each year, approve final version.

TEAM offers IDP workshops every month. The Zoom workshops run 3 days, 3 hours per day. So far this fiscal year, more than 150 trainers have certified or recertified at one of the 10 IDP workshops. The next IDP is scheduled for August 25 – 27, 2026 from 12 PM ET to 3:00 PM ET each day.

Hybrid Training

TEAM is ready to offer Hybrid training to interested training customers. As a reminder, hybrid training is the combination of an in-person session and the online training exam. Certified trainers teach their participants in-person. But instead of ending the session with the Scantron bubble sheet exam, employees take the certification test online.

Key recommendations for successful training sessions.

• Ensure that everyone who attends the training is listed on the session roster. TEAM will only certify test results for those names on the roster.
• Set a deadline for participants to take the test. Ideally, have them take the test from their cell phone or other devices made available at the training session BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE TRAINING LOCATION. The major benefit of the online test is eliminating the time to mail exam forms to TEAM resulting in quicker turn around times for results. But if participants leave the session without taking the test, results may be delayed. And you may spend far too much time tracking people down to take the test.
