ALEXANDRIA, Virg. (August 25, 2011) – University of Michigan Employees during TEAM trainingIn June and again in August, TEAM traveled to Ann Arbor, MI to provide alcohol management training for the University of Michigan event staff. While no alcohol is served at Michigan Stadium, the athletic department has wisely taken steps to stay ahead of any negative behavior that may result from tailgating. The Response team, pictured below, is a new group that will provide support for ushers and ticket takers who observe guests that may be in violation of stadium policies. The ultimate goal is to make sure fans are enjoying the game day safely and responsibly.Chicago Bears Employees during TEAM trainingFor the fourth consecutive year, TEAM has provided employee-level training for the Chicago Bears Fan Services representatives. This group staffs the Fan Services booths at Soldier Field where the designated driver program is administered, among many other fan services initiatives. Each year they are contenders for the NFL Top 5 for designated drivers. And if you consider that Soldier Field has the smallest seating capacity in the NFL, then one could argue that the Bears are definitely at the top of the list!

Soon after TEAM visited Chicago, we headed to Houston for two days of training with the Houston Texans and many of their game day partners, including SMG and Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC). CSC was the lead organization in bringing TEAM Coalition to Houston where nearly 200 employees from parking lot ambassadors to ushers became certified in TEAM’s alcohol management training program.

West Virginia University Employees during TEAM trainingFinally, TEAM completed our training tour of North America with four days in Morgantown, WV. The University of West Virginia made the decision to serve beer at Milan-Puskar Stadium as well as the soccer field and the coliseum for basketball and volleyball games this season. In preparation for 60,000 football fans at the first game on Sunday September 4th, more than 600 employees from Sodexo, CSC and the athletic department of West Virginia University became TEAM certified.
