Responsibility Has Its Rewards at ISM Raceway

03/12/2018

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series™ made its way to Arizona for the TicketGuardian 500 at ISM Raceway on March 11, 2018. Before the green flag waved, TEAM congratulated Josh Willard on being named the Responsibility Has Its Rewards sweepstakes winner from the 2017 Can-Am 500 race. With our partners NASCAR and ISM Raceway, Josh and his guest received a pair of tickets and a behind-the-scenes experience. Josh said that he had “always wanted to go to the pit garages” and that it was “an experience of a lifetime.”

Thanks to our partnership with NASCAR, TEAM looks forward to providing more unforgettable experience for race fans who pledge to never drive drunk and always have a safe ride home at future races at ISM Raceway.

The success of the Responsibility Has Its Rewards campaign is a direct result of the commitment from our members and all the designated driver program partners, including the tracks, concessionaires, beer companies and beer distributors. Teamwork is what this campaign is all about. We are demonstrating that when everyone – including the fans – takes responsibility, everyone wins.Jill Pepper, Executive Director, TEAM Coalition

US DOT / NHTSA 2016 NATIONAL DATA:

• In 2016, 10,497 people were killed as a result of alcohol-related (BAC > 0.08) car crashes, an increase of 1.7% from the 10,265 fatalities in 2015.

• Many, if not most of those lives would have been saved if people did not drive when they were impaired by alcohol or if they used sober, designated drivers or if they simply wore their seat belts.

• Statistics and research clearly show that 21-34 year old males are the demographic most likely to be involved in an automobile crash
