ALEXANDRIA, VA. (06/11/2012) – As NBA fans all over the country and across the world anticipate Game One of the 2012 NBA Finals this week, the two winners of the Responsibility Has Its Rewards™ (RHIR) sweepstakes will have the experiences of a lifetime thanks to Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management (TEAM) Coalition and Hillard Heintze, one of the leading private strategic security advisory and management companies in the United States.Lena Liles and Bill Bang were selected as the grand prize winners of the sweepstakes, and their eligibility was confirmed by Hillard Heintze. Liles, a Thunder fan from Oklahoma City, OK will attend Game One at Chesapeake Energy Arena and Bang, a Heat fan from Miami, FL will attend Game Three at AmericanAirlines Arena. They were randomly chosen from among the nearly 45,000 fans who pledged to be designated drivers this season.

For the fifth consecutive season, the NBA and TEAM Coalition have joined together to make more fans aware of the NBA teams’ designated driver programs. The designated driver programs and the “Responsibility Has Its Rewards” sweepstakes promote traffic safety by encouraging responsible drinking and positive fan behavior.

“This promotion is an opportunity for the NBA to show support for each team’s efforts in coordination with beer companies and concessionaires to encourage responsible fan behavior,” said Jill Pepper, Executive Director, TEAM Coalition. “For fans, it’s a great reminder that responsibility really does have its rewards.”

As the Thunder and Heat Designated Drivers for the Season, each sweepstakes winner receives two tickets to an NBA Finals Game and will meet league and NBA team officials.

“As we have been for many years,” Arnette Heintze, CEO of Hillard Heintze said, “we are proud to be partnering with NBA and TEAM Coalition in keeping fans and their families – and other people on our roads safe.” Hillard Heintze conducts the background checks for the winners using the advanced technology and services of S2Verify, LLC, one of the fastest growing companies in the employee screening market and the leading screening industry process innovator.
