The 2017 Major League Soccer season ended with a rematch of last year’s MLS Cup™. Seattle Sounders FC and Toronto FC squared off to crown a champion at BMO Field. And one lucky Seattle supporter made the cross-continent trip to see her team play as the winner of the “Responsibility Has Its Rewards” sweepstakes.
Kristin Massoth from Seattle, WA, the Seattle Sounders FC Designated Driver for the Season, was randomly selected as the grand prize winner of the “Responsibility Has Its Rewards” sweepstakes. The sweepstakes is in its thirtieth season, provided by TEAM Coalition with support from Major League Soccer and HEINEKEN USA. It continues to succeed in raising awareness for the designated driver programs offered by MLS clubs.
Kristin and her guest attended the 2017 MLS Cup™ at BMO Field, home of Toronto FC. Before kickoff, they were able to watch warm-ups from the field behind the Seattle goal. She was one of 52,015 supporters who pledged to be designated drivers at MLS games throughout the 2017 season, ensuring a safe ride home for their friends and family.
